Place Value and Rounding

Todays classes focused on place value in whole number situations. We also worked on rounding using the key idea of clue numbers. Clue numbers are located directly to the right of the number which needs to be rounded. The clue number rules are as follows:

1. if the clue number is a 0,1,2,3, or 4 then the number to be rounded stays the same.
2. if the clue number is a 5,6,7,8, or 9 then the number to be rounded goes up one digit.
